3. Why we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare for requested field projects.

  • To match suitable applicants to locations, skills and project requirements and communicate about opportunities.
  • To verify information, prevent misuse, protect the website and keep appropriate business records.

We process information on grounds permitted by POPIA, including consent, steps connected to a request or potential contract, legal obligations and legitimate business interests that do not unjustifiably infringe your rights. Where a form marks information as required, we may be unable to process the enquiry or application without it.

4. Sharing and international processing

Access is limited to authorised Retune personnel and service providers that help us operate secure hosting, storage, form-processing and communication systems. We may share relevant information with a client or project partner only where it is necessary and lawful for a genuine opportunity, or where law requires it. Service providers must process the information only for authorised purposes and protect it appropriately.

If an approved service provider processes information outside South Africa, we use an arrangement permitted by POPIA, such as adequate protection, an appropriate contractual safeguard or your consent where required.

5. Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as there is a lawful operational, contractual or legal reason. We review records and delete, destroy or de-identify them when they are no longer lawfully required, subject to any permitted legal hold or record-keeping duty.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against loss, unauthorised access, interference, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission is completely risk-free, so please use the official contact details above if you are unsure what to submit.

6. Your rights

Subject to POPIA and PAIA, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access or correction, ask for deletion where permitted, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent for future consent-based processing. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Send a clear request to the Information Officer using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You may also complain to the Information Regulator at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, call 010 023 5200, or visit the Information Regulator POPIA page.

7. Cookies and analytics

The website uses essential local storage to remember your cookie choice. Google Analytics is disabled unless you select “Accept analytics”. If accepted, Google may place analytics cookies and receive pseudonymous technical and usage data to help us understand website performance. We configure analytics to anonymise IP addresses where supported.

You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Choosing “Essential only” stops future analytics collection on this device and removes accessible Retune Assemble analytics cookies.
